About the role
As part of the Schindler team, you’ll contribute to enhancing the quality of urban life by ensuring our elevators, escalators, and moving walks safely transport over two billion people daily. This role supports making places more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable while continuing our legacy that began in 1874.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical solutions, ensure workplace safety, and supervise technicians and job site activity.
- Support service, maintenance, and repair sales while fulfilling customer requirements and maximizing profitability.
- Handle customer concerns, adjust manpower levels according to business needs, and teach employees the Company’s quality, productivity, and safety methodology.
- Build a team environment by leading field technicians and manage their training and development on established processes, tools, and standards.
- Foster excellent communication among team members and maintain good working relationships with the local union.
- Ensure service, maintenance, and repair offerings meet Company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements.
- Continuously improve service delivery to ensure uniformly efficient and effective service.
- Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety.
- Support the local sales team in estimating service orders, scheduling and executing orders, and investigating and resolving customer complaints.
- Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees.
- Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Schindler products, services, and procedures.
Requirements
- BS/AS degree in Engineering or Business with prior technical sales experience; or Journeyman Technician experience with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in either the elevator industry or a related building systems industry.
- Ability to effectively manage and resolve sensitive employee relations issues.
- Solid problem-solving and proven negotiating skills, with a high sense of urgency and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent PC skills.
Pay
Base Salary: $90,000 - $112,000. The range may be revised based on experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. The listed compensation reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives. The final salary may differ based on geographic location.
