Associate Field Superintendent

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Aid the Field Superintendent with daily activities such as crew scheduling, equipment ordering, and field planning.
• Inspect the project site before delivery/scheduling of crews to ensure site readiness.
• Support the Field Superintendent and Project Manager in managing the safe execution of job completion within 10 & Out goals.
• Attend project site meetings and weekly scheduling meetings.
• Provide feedback to the Field Superintendent, Project Manager, and Foremen on the current status of the project and completion date.
• Supervise field crews to ensure a safe work environment and project execution.
• Collaborate with Superintendent, Project Manager, and Foremen in the pre-planning of projects.
• Commit to safety policies that foster a culture of a safe work environment, customer satisfaction, first-time quality, and efficiency.
• Show self-motivation and flexibility within the work environment.
• Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience in the construction industry and field operations.

Other Required Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
• The ability to work with a variety of people.
• Open-mindedness and effective communication with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing, as well as outside the organization.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, either as a leader or contributor.
• Well-organized and sensitive to deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience in the concrete and/or precast industry.
• OSHA 10-hour certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel approximately 60% of the time.
• Must be able to traverse uneven ground, move minimum of 50 lbs., and have spatial awareness/depth perception.
• Climb on a flatbed semi-trailer.

Work Environment

• All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast).
• Dirt/dust.
• Noise from heavy machinery/vehicles.
