About the role

E Source helps utilities improve their operations through energy efficiency programs. This role involves analyzing data, developing methodologies, and conducting on-site verifications.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze energy efficiency program data using Excel and other tools
  • Evaluate and develop methodologies and algorithms to determine electric and fossil fuel savings
  • Calculate energy and demand savings associated with various energy efficiency measures
  • Conduct on-site verification of energy efficiency measures
  • Prepare high-quality reports and presentations based on engineering methods and findings
  • Support additional evaluation and research activities as assigned

Requirements

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering, physics, environmental sciences, or a related field
  • Has coursework, projects, or professional experience related to energy consumption, energy efficiency, clean energy, or sustainability in the built environment
  • Understands the engineering principles underlying building energy use
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and has some familiarity with Python
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to quality assurance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid technical research abilities
  • Thrives when managing multiple time-sensitive priorities

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, ENERGY STAR, IPMVP, IECC, and other building codes, standards, and protocols
  • Experience with energy modeling, bin data analysis, and data logging with various types of equipment
  • Experience with residential or commercial building energy simulation modeling applications like eQuest, OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, EnergyPro, or EnergyGauge

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Pay

The budgeted salary for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 USD + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Schedule

This role is remote with infrequent travel (generally 3–4 times per year).
