Responsibilities Assist with the design and preparation of site civil and roadway engineering plans for municipal infrastructure projectsSupport planning board and land development review activities, including reviewing engineering plans and preparing technical commentsPrepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, calculations, and other engineering documentation in support of design projectsPerform preliminary site visits and field observations to gather information for engineering design and project planningUtilize AutoCAD/Civil 3D to develop engineering drawings and design documentsCollaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutionsParticipate in project meetings and shadow senior staff during client and municipal meetings to gain project management and public agency experienceAssist with a variety of municipal engineering assignments while developing technical knowledge and working toward professional licensureMaintain project schedules and complete assigned tasks in a timely and organized manner while demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or universityEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain EIT immediately upon graduationProficiency with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3DStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated, organized, and able to manage assignments independently while working in a collaborative team environmentDemonstrated interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure Preferred Qualifications Approximately 1–3 years of experience in municipal engineering, site civil design, or roadway designRecent graduates with relevant internship or co-op experience will also be consideredFamiliarity with municipal engineering principles, site grading, roadway design, land development, planning board reviews, and cost estimatingExperience with MicroStationExperience supporting engineering design projects from concept through construction documentationAbility to participate in occasional site visits and municipal meetings in support of project delivery Benefits The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
