About the role
The Associate Director, Recruitment and Admissions, GRA at Georgetown McDonough manages all activities related to recruitment and admissions for the full-time, in-person Master of Science in Global Real Assets (GRA) program to ensure enrollment goals are met. The Associate Director is also part of the data analytics and automation team, working on data and automation strategies for all programs within the Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions portfolio.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Dean, Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions for recruitment, admissions, and marketing tasks related to the GRA program, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Associate Director of Data Analytics for automation and data analytics responsibilities. The position supervises two student ambassadors and interacts regularly with prospective and enrolling students, providing information in a professional and persuasive manner.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruitment, events, and admissions plans for the GRA program to recruit high-quality potential students.
- Support all aspects of GRA recruiting outreach, including managing and executing the lead and applicant journey (answering emails, telephone calls, and walk-in inquiries) and creating procedures for recruitment outreach and follow-up.
- Ensure all marketing content materials (both printed and online) are up to date and accurately represent GRA program goals.
- Create the email communication strategy and write/send emails within the marketing automation platform.
- Review and analyze all applications received for the GRA program, and communicate with candidates and the Admissions Committee as relevant.
- Plan recruiting events such as on-campus, off-campus, and online information sessions, and travel domestically/internationally to represent the McDonough School of Business at recruiting fairs.
- Act as a liaison to other departmental units within the University, such as Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Services.
- Assist the Associate Dean with data collection for recruitment forecasting.
- Work with the internal data analytics team to develop and implement automation strategies for all programs within the Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions portfolio.
- Work closely with the Director of the Steers Center of Global Real Estate to plan outreach strategies and events.
- Coordinate with various Georgetown University offices, such as Student Financial Services, Student Accounts, and executive degree program staff.
- Manage outside vendors for contracts (e.g., catering).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience.
- At least 2-3 years of direct experience building, auditing, and scaling automated workflows.
- Outstanding verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, with a strong team orientation.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute with strong attention to detail.
- Experience planning and managing a wide range of events and activities.
- Results-first mindset; ownership of outcomes (not just activities).
- Actively applies feedback to improve and grow.
- Strong problem-solver; able to navigate ambiguity and deliver creative solutions.
- Comfortable working within a large institution IT environment.
