The Associate Director, Program Management Office, Global Medical Affairs is seeking a proactive, organized leader with strong program management expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-impact medical initiatives while improving operational effectiveness across global teams.

This position provides the opportunity to lead strategic program management initiatives supporting global medical affairs activities within a dynamic healthcare environment. The Associate Director will drive planning, execution, and operational excellence across critical initiatives within a global oncology-focused organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive planning, coordination, and delivery of high-impact medical initiatives while improving operational effectiveness across global teams.
• Serve as a key partner to medical leadership by ensuring alignment, visibility, and execution of strategic programs.
• Lead cross-functional planning and execution of global medical affairs initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop, manage, and track integrated project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and critical activities.
• Drive the development and monitoring of integrated evidence plans and medical strategy initiatives.
• Coordinate advisory boards, thought leader engagement activities, launch planning efforts, and related medical programs.
• Facilitate communication and alignment between global medical leaders, franchise teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Organize and lead project meetings, including agenda preparation, documentation of decisions, action tracking, and follow-up management.
• Develop dashboards, trackers, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress, priorities, and outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, implement best practices, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure initiatives are executed in compliance with company policies, healthcare regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Combines strong program management expertise with experience in healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related environments.
• Manages complex initiatives, influences stakeholders, and communicates effectively across global teams.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in drug development, consulting, academia, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environments.
• Experience supporting Global Medical Affairs initiatives, including advisory boards, medical planning, evidence generation, or launch readiness activities.
• Strong understanding of hematology and oncology landscapes preferred.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong proficiency with project management tools and systems, including Smartsheet, MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience creating dashboards, trackers, reporting tools, and executive-level presentations.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships across global and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, ownership, and results-oriented mindset.
• PMP certification is a plus.
