Associate Director, Onestream Center of Excellence
About the Role
Quanta Services is seeking an Associate Director to join the leadership team of the OneStream Center of Excellence (CoE). Positioned as a peer to the CoE’s Senior Managers (Technical and Operations) and reporting to the Director, the Associate Director owns the Program Management function — roadmap and product strategy, demand intake and prioritization, release strategy, requirements and business analysis, adoption metrics, change management, and acquisition onboarding. This role also carries a defined set of Director responsibilities delegated for day-to-day execution, including operational performance oversight, first-level cross-functional escalation, and steering-committee operations.
This is a strategic leadership role as much as an operational one: the Associate Director partners directly with the Director to shape the CoE’s multi-year platform strategy, represents the CoE in cross-functional planning, and serves as a credible deputy and succession candidate for the Director on delegated duties. The role carries elevated cross-functional coordination authority across Operations and Technical but does not hold line-management authority over the Senior Managers, who continue to report to the Director.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial and accounting judgment with program or product leadership experience in a corporate performance management (CPM) or comparable systems environment. Direct OneStream experience — or experience building, staffing, or leading a OneStream (or comparable CPM) Center of Excellence — is a strong preference rather than a requirement; candidates with comparable large-organization program-leadership backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and maintain the OneStream platform roadmap and product strategy on a day-to-day basis, in alignment with the Director’s strategic direction and executive priorities.
- Own demand intake and prioritization governance — logging, screening, and routing enhancement requests so unfiltered demand does not hit Operations or Technical directly.
- Own release strategy and sequencing across interdependent workstreams, coordinating release calendars with the Technical team.
- Lead requirements management and business analysis, translating stakeholder needs from Consolidations, FP&A, and Accounting into clear specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Define and report product performance and adoption metrics, feeding the Director’s organizational performance oversight to executive leadership.
- Assess vendor capabilities and market/tooling options, including AI and integration tooling, to inform the Director’s contract and renewal decisions.
- Own enterprise change management and communications tied to each enhancement wave, including stakeholder communications and organizational readiness.
- Own the acquisition-onboarding program, standardizing how newly acquired entities are integrated onto the OneStream platform as the enterprise grows.
- Serve as the first-level cross-functional escalation and coordination point across Operations and Technical (peer-plus authority), without line authority over the Senior Managers.
- Support the Director’s operational performance oversight, including SLA/KPI reporting, and run steering-committee cadence and secretariat operations on the Director’s behalf.
- Contribute controls and risk coordination support to the Director’s SOX, internal-controls, and business-continuity accountabilities.
- Partner with the Director on strategic planning, budget and business-case development, and organizational design discussions; act as a credible deputy and succession candidate for the Director role.
- Deputize for the Director on delegated duties and represent the CoE in cross-functional strategic planning forums as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, financial systems, or program/product leadership, including experience leading teams or programs within a large or multinational organization.
- CPA strongly preferred; demonstrated CPA-level financial and controls judgment is expected.
- Experience with a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) or Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform (e.g., OneStream, Hyperion, BPC, Anaplan) preferred.
- Direct OneStream experience — or experience within a OneStream (or comparable CPM) Center of Excellence — is a strong preference rather than a requirement.
- Experience with corporate consolidations, intercompany accounting, FP&A, or financial-systems governance is highly valued.
Skills
- Strong program/product management skills: roadmap development, demand management, release planning, and requirements/business analysis.
- Ability to operate as a credible deputy to senior leadership, exercising elevated cross-functional coordination without formal line authority.
- Strategic thinker and executive-level communicator; able to translate enterprise strategy into platform direction.
- Change management and stakeholder communication skills across Finance, IT, and business units.
- Familiarity with SOX-compliant control environments and segregation-of-duties principles.
- Vendor and contract capability-assessment experience.
- High proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL or reporting/analytics tools a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Direct OneStream experience, or experience building, staffing, or leading a OneStream (or comparable CPM) Center of Excellence.
- OneStream or equivalent CPM/EPM certification.
- Experience in a large-sized, multi-entity, or acquisition-oriented organization (multi-entity consolidation experience is a plus).
- Experience serving as a deputy, second-in-command, or succession candidate to a director-level leader.
- Prior exposure to steering-committee governance, charter development, and change-advisory-board (CAB) or comparable change-governance processes.

Core hours are Monday through Friday; this role requires schedule flexibility to support financial close cycles and steering-committee/program cadences, including occasional evening or weekend availability during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end periods.
