Associate Director of Membership and Industry Engagement

Colorado Livestock Association · Aurora, CO · 1 mo ago
Business Development$55k–$65k/yrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? Actually we have "About the Colorado Livestock Association" as description. The job title is already shown, we should not repeat it. We need sections: About the role? The posting includes "About the Colorado Livestock Association" which is about the organization, not role. Could be "About the role" but we have no explicit "About the role". However we can include "About the Colorado Livestock Association" as a section heading? The instruction: use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we should map content to those headings if applicable. We have responsibilities (Basic Responsibilities). We have Education/Experience (Qualifications). We have Salary (Pay). We have no explicit Benefits or Schedule. We have no explicit Skills separate but could be part of Qualifications. We have no explicit About the role but we have description of role in first paragraph. Could use "About the role" heading for that intro. Also we have "About the Colorado Livestock Association" maybe could be part of "About the role"? But better to have a section "About the Colorado Livestock Association" not in list; but instruction says use those examples, not limited to them? It says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It implies we should use those headings where appropriate. Could also add other headings if needed, but better to stick to those. So we can have:

About the role

with paragraph describing the role (first paragraph). Then

Responsibilities

with
    list of duties. Then

    Qualifications

with paragraph about education/experience and skills. Then

    Pay

with paragraph about salary range. We must not include boilerplate like "This posting will remain active..." etc. Remove that. We must preserve all substantive information. Let's extract: Intro: "The Associate Director of Membership and Industry Engagement serves a critical role as the first point of contact for members. The role is responsible for identifying and helping to fulfill membership-related needs, managing the safety group program, and working closely with industry partners to enhance Association efforts." About the Colorado Livestock Association: multiple paragraphs. Need to preserve all substantive info. Should we include that under About the role? Might be separate section "About the organization". But not in list. Could we add a heading "About the Colorado Livestock Association"? The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities...). It doesn't forbid other headings, but says "use

for section headings (e.g. ...)". Likely they expect those headings. However we need to preserve all info; we could incorporate the organization description into About the role section as additional paragraph. That would preserve it. Responsibilities: list items from "Basic Responsibilities" section. Let's extract bullet points: - Track membership changes, acknowledge new and dropped members with appropriate CLA information, and maintain/adjust the membership database as needed. - Conduct membership surveys, as needed, and report on membership growth to the Board of Directors. - Coordinate membership recruitment and retention efforts. - Verify CLA’s membership list with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association annually. - Work with other staff to coordinate membership events and activities. - Develop and promote innovative ideas and materials to form new leaders and Committee Members. - Industry Engagement: Manage industry partners, seeking opportunities for promotion via Association sponsorship. - Coordinate recruitment and retention efforts for industry partners. - Safety Program Coordinator: Serve as primary staff contact for members participating in the association’s worker’s safety program as well as all members with worker’s safety issues. - Stay educated by taking advantage of safety seminars and educational opportunities. - Communicate routinely with worker's compensation group carrier, endorsed-brokers, and the CEO. - Work closely with CLA’s worker’s compensation program endorsed-brokers. - Monitor operations with high frequency or severity of claims. - Conduct regular meetings with brokers to ensure CLA’s list of members is accurate, and members are receiving appropriate service. - Organize quarterly Safety Meetings for CLA members and their employees. - Generate reimbursements and financials to submit to Pinnacol. - Council/Committee Responsibilities: Serve as the liaison to the association’s Species Councils and Industry Partners Council and assigned committees. - Responsible for working with Council/Committee Chairs to plan and schedule meetings, provide notice to members and work with potential meeting sponsors. - Other: Contribute around the office as needed. - Serve as the liaison to the CSU HICAHS Advisory Board. - Perform other duties as needed as a member of association staff. We need to preserve all; we can combine some sentences but keep meaning. Qualifications/Education: "Education/Experience: All applicable experience considered with BS or BA degree and a background in animal agriculture and nonprofit. Must be computer proficient and have excellent writing skills." Also maybe "Must be computer proficient and have excellent writing skills." That's skills. We could put Qualifications heading with paragraph about education/experience, and Skills heading with bullet list? But we have only two skills: computer proficient, excellent writing skills. Could be a
. Pay: "Salary: $55,000-65,000 (Commensurate to experience)". The instruction says do NOT create Pay section unless posting actually states them, and avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". It says never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD"). So we cannot have a Pay section with just "$55,000-65,000 (Commensurate to experience)" because that includes "commensurate to experience" which is filler? The instruction says never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", ...). It seems they consider that phrase as filler. So we should not create a Pay section if the only content is that phrase? But we have a salary range plus that phrase. The phrase is filler; we could maybe just give the range and omit the phrase? But we must preserve ALL substantive information; the phrase "Commensurate to experience" is not substantive? It's basically saying salary depends on experience, which is somewhat substantive but maybe considered filler. The instruction says never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text. It doesn't say we cannot include the phrase inside the paragraph; it says never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text. So if we have a Pay section heading and then a paragraph that includes the range and also the phrase, the paragraph is not just filler; it contains substantive info (the range). So it's okay. The phrase is part of the paragraph but not the whole content. So we can include Pay section. We must not include boilerplate like "This posting will remain active until the position has been filled or a sufficient quantity of qualified applications have been recieved." Remove. Now produce HTML fragment:

      About the role

The Associate Director of Membership and Industry Engagement serves a critical role as the first point of contact for members. The role is responsible for identifying and helping to fulfill membership-related needs, managing the safety group program, and working closely with industry partners to enhance Association efforts. The Colorado Livestock Association is a member-based organization representing Colorado livestock producers, with a particular focus on concentrated animal feeding operations. Through efforts in the legislative, regulatory, judicial and electoral arenas, at the state and federal level, the Colorado Livestock Association represents the interests of members and serves as the united voice for Colorado livestock producers. Additionally, the Colorado Livestock Association provides members with resources in compliance and safety, helping producers protect themselves, their employees, and their communities. The Colorado Livestock Association was formed in 1998 through a restructuring of the then 43-year-old Colorado Cattle Feeders Association. The new name and structure were designed to better reflect the membership of the association. CLA members are cattle and sheep feeders, cow/calf producers, dairy farmers, swine operations, and agribusiness partners. In 1955, what started as a group of cattle feeders working to eradicate a disease, has grown into a multispecies organization, working to strengthen and united animal agriculture in Colorado for future generations.
