Associate Director of DP Empowered
About the role
The Associate Director of the DP Empowered Program oversees whole group instruction across all five high schools, working directly with faculty members who facilitate these sessions. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for both ensuring strong execution of classroom programming and overseeing curriculum development. You will have the authority to adjust, enhance, and revise content as needed to ensure it serves student needs and remains mission aligned. You will help shape learning experiences that support students to explore identity, develop life skills, and navigate college/career pathways, while building systems that empower educators to create environments for students to set goals, build academic habits, and think critically about their future.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor DP Empowered Faculty across schools
- Review and refine all instructional materials and curriculum frameworks
- Provide ongoing professional development for DP Empowered Faculty
- Ensure consistent pedagogical approach and academic standards across all schools
- Collaborate with Director of Experiential Learning to co-develop experiential learning opportunities that complement the DP Empowered mission
- Create seamless transitions between advisory work and experiential learning opportunities
- Build systems for scaling high-quality instruction across our school network
- Manage program budget, staffing, timelines, and technology systems
- Cross-departmental collaboration (advisors, counselors, teachers)
- Monitor program effectiveness and drive data-informed decision making
- Implement systems to track student data and program effectiveness
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years leading educational programs at scale
- Proven experience building sustainable curriculum frameworks and strategic initiatives
- Strong background in both instructional leadership and student services
- Exceptional people-management and cross-departmental coordination skills
- Deep understanding of college access, identity development, and experiential learning
- A graduate of a Bachelor’s degree program (required), and a MSW or MSEd in School Counseling (preferred)

Pay
Salary range is $115,000 - $135,000 commensurate with your experience.
