About the role
The Investments and Strategic Initiatives team at the College Board is seeking an Associate Director of Investments. This is a full-time, remote position with the option of a hybrid schedule for candidates living near College Board offices. The role requires occasional travel for business purposes.
Responsibilities
- Advance M&A strategy to drive significant impact for the organization and its members and students.
- Research education sectors, develop landscape assessments, and analyze trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Analyze potential acquisition targets and develop strategic rationale and risk assessments.
- Create financial models, projections, and customer analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Participate in financial due diligence processes and present findings to senior management and the Board.
- Manage and report on the College Board’s impact investment portfolio, preparing investment memos and participating in Investment Committee meetings.
- Collaborate with Strategy and Program leadership to explore partnership opportunities that align with the College Board’s mission and goals.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in investment banking or corporate development.
- Extensive experience in financial modeling and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to summarize complex financial analysis and communicate findings effectively to senior management.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and investments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Prior M&A experience is a plus.
- The ability to travel 3-5 times a year for College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business.
