About the role
The Associate Director, Eye Care Portfolio Marketing leads the strategy, development, and execution of integrated strategic marketing plans for key assets in the Eye Care portfolio, including LOE brands and Interventional Glaucoma. This role drives brand and portfolio performance through disciplined market analysis, resource prioritization, and cross-functional leadership to achieve sales, profit, and long-term business objectives. The position partners closely with Commercial Leadership, Market Access, Finance, and broader Marketing teams to shape strategic direction, optimize channel execution, and support the continued success of the LOE brands and broader Eye Care portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Marketing Director(s) and business leaders to build, manage, and execute marketing plans to achieve business objectives, including patients’, market, and financial results.
- Drive and participate in business and marketing planning processes.
- Demonstrate and utilize a holistic understanding of financial planning.
- Lead and manage direct teams and external partnerships.
- Influence business leaders and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to deliver business results.
- Manage and monitor the P&L of product responsibilities.
- Grow brand/product penetration, share, and awareness.
- Develop next-generation products and/or product enhancements & experiences, leveraging the patient journey.
- Direct and manage projects, including execution of marketing plans, initiatives, and tasks.
- Lead the development and execution of plans for key LOE brands.
- Partner with Market Access, Finance, Sales, and key stakeholders to define and align on key Market Access and Pricing strategies, as well as potential avenues to support growth of brands beyond LOE (including DTP, Rx to OTC strategies, etc.).
- Monitor market dynamics and competitive activity to identify risks and opportunities, translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Oversee resource allocation, budget management, and forecast planning to support business objectives and financial performance.
- Collaborate with Finance and Market Access to evaluate business cases, optimize investment decisions, and support prioritization across channels and brand initiatives.
- Manage agency, vendor, and external partner relationships to ensure effective execution and operational excellence.
- Build and sustain strong cross-functional and external relationships with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Finance, Medical, HEOR, Legal, Regulatory, APEX/Marketing Analytics, and Compliance.
- Contribute to lifecycle planning and broader Eye Care portfolio strategy in support of long-term brand success.
- Lead key efforts for patient activation and brand strategy development, implementation, budget management, and ROI analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
- 7–9 years of experience in Marketing Access and/or Marketing (pharmaceutical experience preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of product management experience in pharmaceuticals; market access experience preferred.
- Market access marketing experience highly desired.
- Experience with lifecycle management strongly preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing required.
- Knowledge of patient access, reimbursement, and verification of benefits preferred.
