Associate Director, Career Services - School of Law

Responsibilities

• Assist MLS and JD students in defining their career objectives and matching them to opportunities
• Conduct one-on-one advising sessions focusing on career paths and job search strategies
• Guide students in resume and cover letter preparation, interviewing, and networking
• Organize and present workshops on job search techniques and industry trends
• Conduct mock interviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance
• Manage the MLS Program's Virtual Career Advancement Center; curate job postings and resources for students
• Collaborate with the Associate Dean on employer outreach aligned with the MLS program

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and minimum two years post-graduate work experience as a licensed attorney; strong law firm practice experience preferred
• In-depth knowledge of the U.S. legal system, career practices, and opportunities in the legal field
• Experience with legal recruitment and placement best practices
• Skilled in career planning, mentorship, and providing guidance to students
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in conducting presentations and facilitating workshops
• Integrity and resourcefulness with a proven ability to build relationships within diverse groups

$75,000 – $95,000 annually
