Associate Director

About the role
Advance student potential—and your own—as you collaborate with teachers to deliver individualized services and support in small-group settings. Monitor student behavior, track educational progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning and skills through our proven model.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all students are educated in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Observe classrooms regularly, both formally (using observation forms to provide staff feedback) and informally.
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings to address program and staff concerns.
- Participate in regional activities, including a weekly Director’s Meeting.
- Attend and participate in monthly Goal Reviews with your supervisor, demonstrating consistent growth and goal completion.
- Report facilities issues promptly to the appropriate department for resolution.
- Communicate with parents, supervisors, and district personnel in person, by telephone, and through written communication (e.g., newsletters).
- Involve parents in the educational program regularly and host parent education events throughout the school year.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing policies related to the health, safety, and well-being of students.
- Forge and maintain stakeholder relationships (e.g., district officials, parents) while providing excellent and responsive customer service.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly staff supervisions, including Goal Reviews, to encourage self-evaluation and growth.
- Ensure all staff adhere to school and company policies to maintain program quality.
- Maintain accurate records, including financial, state licensing, student, and employee files.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors to ensure proper support and assistance are available.
- Identify staff and program needs and secure professional development opportunities to address them.
- Role model professional demeanor for staff, parents, students, and school district personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Credentials in Education or a similar field.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Extensive experience with students with serious emotional disabilities is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (preferred).
- Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws/regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs, including bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges, often requiring handling up to 50 pounds or more.
- Skill in managing fine motor tasks, such as helping students with writing, manipulating small objects, or using adaptive devices.
- Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.
- Capacity to notice and respond to non-verbal cues from students.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during physically and emotionally demanding situations to ensure student safety and well-being.

Pay
Starting from USD $84,000.00 per year.
