Advance student potential—and your own—as you collaborate with teachers to work with small groups of students in delivering individualized services and support. Realize the joy of possibility as you monitor student behavior, track educational progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning and skills through our proven model.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all students are educated in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Observe classrooms regularly, both formally (using observation forms to provide staff feedback) and informally.
• Attend weekly staff meetings to discuss program information, suggestions, and concerns.
• Participate in regional activities, including a weekly Director’s Meeting.
• Attend and participate in monthly Goal Reviews with your supervisor, demonstrating consistent growth and goal completion.
• Report facilities issues promptly to the appropriate department for resolution.
• Communicate with parents, supervisors, and district personnel in person, by telephone, and through newsletters or other written forms.
• Involve parents in the educational program regularly and provide parent education events throughout the school year.
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing policies related to the health, safety, and well-being of children attending the program.
• Forge and maintain stakeholder relationships (district officials, parents, etc.) while providing excellent and responsive customer service.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Perform staff supervisions, including monthly Goal Reviews, to provide opportunities for self-evaluation and growth.
• Ensure all staff follow school and company policies to maintain excellent program quality.
• Maintain accurate records, including financial, state licensing, student, and employee files.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors to ensure proper support and assistance is available.
• Identify staff and program needs and secure professional development opportunities to address them.
• Role model professional demeanor for staff, parents, children, and school district personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Credentials in Education or a similar field.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Extensive experience with students with serious emotional disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs, including bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges, often requiring handling up to 50 pounds or more.
• Skill in managing fine motor tasks, such as helping students with writing, manipulating small objects, or using adaptive devices.
• Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.
• Capacity to notice and respond to non-verbal cues from students.
• Capacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotionally demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well-being.

Pay

Starting from USD $60,000.00 per year.
