About the role
We are seeking an Associate Dean of Workforce Instruction at North Seattle College. The salary range for this position is $89,000 to $118,000 annually.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Workforce Instruction faculty, staff, and instructional operations, including supervision, hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
- Manage faculty assignments and staffing in compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
- Support faculty in curriculum development, outcomes assessment, program review, onboarding, professional development, and tenure processes.
- Collaborate with the Dean on strategic planning, budget monitoring, enrollment management, schedule development, and operational effectiveness.
- Analyze enrollment, retention, completion, and student success data to improve program outcomes and address equity gaps.
- Lead and support grants, accreditation activities, facilities management, marketing, outreach, and maintenance of program information platforms such as Career Bridge.
- Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including student services, industry advisors, community organizations, international programs, and workforce leaders across the district.
- Demonstrate leadership through a commitment to Access, Community and Opportunity (ACO); participate in professional development and workforce leadership groups; ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements; and serve as acting Dean when needed.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or higher in an education-related, health-related, business-related, or administration-related field.
- Demonstrated experience, commitment to, and professional development in values of equity, diversity, inclusion and community.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervision of personnel as well as project planning, management and implementation in order to meet high level deliverables within efficient timelines.
- Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive work culture and environment, encourage teamwork and collaboration, and manage conflict.
- Proficiency in communication skills when interfacing with varied stakeholders, through both verbal and written communications.
- Experience with anticipating, prioritizing, and managing tasks while respecting the personalities, experiences, and competing priorities of a diverse audience.
- Experience with utilizing quantitative and qualitative data to inform assessment and planning.
- Demonstrated experience with proactively receiving and utilizing feedback to adapt and improve in carrying out job duties.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate office equipment, receive and interpret data, and prepare various materials.
- Ability to exchange information with supervisor, lead, co-workers, and students.
- Ability to provide 1:1 support, present to small groups, and work at a computer exercising repetitive hand motion.
- Work is performed primarily in office settings with frequent interruptions and encounters noises typical of these settings.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $89,000 to $118,000 annually.
