About the role

Quinnipiac University has received a $751,755 National Science Foundation Noyce Scholarship Grant to support the preparation of the next generation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) teachers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement professional development programs for aspiring STEM educators
• Collaborate with local school districts to enhance STEM education initiatives
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Noyce Scholars pursuing careers in teaching
• Conduct research on effective STEM teaching practices and share findings with the educational community

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field
• Strong commitment to teaching and education
• Experience or interest in working with K-12 students
• Passion for STEM education and a desire to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers

Pay

Noyce Scholars receive a stipend to support their teaching and professional development activities.

The Noyce Scholar program is designed to provide flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of both the scholar and the educational setting.
