Associate Dean and Professor of Education
Position Summary
The Division of Education at Indiana University Kokomo invites applications for a full time, 10-month, Associate Dean position beginning January 1, 2027. The Associate Dean reports to the Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the position includes a faculty rank of associate or full professor, depending on qualifications.
Basic Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in Education or related field
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate college level
- A successful research program
- A demonstrated commitment to collaboration
- Administrative experience
Teaching and Service
Teach one course per semester. Summer teaching is optional and for additional pay. Perform various service duties for the Division.
Research
Tenured and tenure-track faculty have research expectations governed by Division, campus, and university policies. Normally this is 20% of their workload, but administrative positions waive this requirement. Should the associate dean leave the administrative position and return to faculty, they will be expected to pursue a research agenda in accordance with these policies.
Workload
- 60% administration
- 20% teaching
- 20% service
Compensation
Includes faculty salary (dependent on rank) and an administrative stipend throughout the 10-month academic year as well as during summer sessions. Summer teaching is optional and for additional pay.
