Associate Counsel, Subrogation - Hudson/Essex/Passaic, NJ (REMOTE)

For our client, we are seeking a Associate Counsel, Subrogation - Hudson/Essex/Passaic, NJ (REMOTE) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will support litigation and subrogation-related legal matters across a range of claims issues in a remote environment. The position involves advising on coverage, medical necessity, damages, and claim value while helping drive effective case handling and legal strategy. You will partner with a specialized legal team to manage arbitration, depositions, hearings, and trials, ensuring matters are handled with precision and professionalism. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $118,900 – $186,550 annually Responsibilities Conduct legal research and draft briefs, opinions, and memoranda Provide legal opinions on coverage, medical necessity, damages, and claim value Prepare and manage arbitration submissions and examinations under oath Defend cases at trial or during hearings as assigned Handle all assigned litigation matters effectively Qualifications 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience required Juris Doctor degree is mandatory Must be admitted to and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar Eligible for and maintained mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements Ability to travel as needed for trials, hearings, and depositions Proficient in clear, professional written documentation Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills needed Benefits Remote work flexibility Opportunity to work within a reputable insurance company Chance to engage in high-stakes legal matters in a supportive environment Potential for professional development through education and training opportunities Work closely with a specialized team of legal professionals Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
