Associate Counsel - New Jersey (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Research laws and draft legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
• Provide opinions on liability, damages, and value to the Claims Department
• Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing
• Conduct depositions, examinations before trial, and examinations under oath

Qualifications

• 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury
• Juris Doctor degree
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing
• Licensed in good standing to practice law in New Jersey
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Clear, concise professional writing skills
