Associate Counsel - Hackensack, NJ (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
• Provide opinions on claims related to liability, damages, and value
• Draft and manage pleadings, motions, and discovery processes
• Conduct depositions and examinations before trial or under oath
• Defend lawsuits through trial or dispositive hearings

Qualifications

• 2 to 6+ years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury litigation
• Juris Doctor degree is mandatory
• Ambition to be admitted to the New Jersey Bar required
• Maintain good standing and meet licensing requirements, including CLEs
• Ability to travel for trials, hearings, and meetings as needed
• Outstanding written documentation skills for clarity across communications
• Strong organizational, conflict resolution, and multi-tasking abilities
