Associate Corporate Counsel, Legal - Amazon Health Services
Description
Amazon Health Services is on a mission to make it dramatically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with the medications they need to get and stay healthy. This includes Amazon Pharmacy, Amazon One Medical, and other health initiatives. We are seeking a talented attorney to join the Amazon Health Services legal team. This role combines transactional work, product counseling, compliance, and regulatory advising.
Support foundational technology efforts, new business initiatives, and customer-facing products and services.
Take on diverse responsibilities including negotiating deals, advising on regulatory strategies, identifying and mitigating critical legal and reputational risks, and developing mechanisms that allow our builder teams to move quickly and confidently.
Key Job Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate complex, commercial agreements.
Provide strategic legal counsel to senior business leaders on a broad range of legal and business matters.
Identify, assess, and manage legal risks across multiple business lines and jurisdictions.
Develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives while mitigating risk.
Advisory on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and emerging legal issues.
Lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels.
Contribute to the development of legal policies, processes, and best practices.
A Day in the Life
You will collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, technology, compliance, and healthcare teams, diving into complex legal challenges that demand creative problem-solving. Expect to engage in strategic discussions about new product launches, analyze emerging regulatory developments, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, and develop innovative compliance frameworks that enable our teams to move quickly and confidently. You will balance multiple workstreams—from advising on AI-enabled workflows to reviewing a vendor agreement to counseling on state-specific regulatory requirements—all in service of our mission to make healthcare dramatically easier for customers.

Qualifications
2+ years of post-bar admission legal experience.
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
Experience in private practice or in-house experience at a technology company or equivalent.
Experience providing legal counsel to senior business stakeholders.
Experience in technology, retail, manufacturing, logistics, or e-commerce industries.
Experience independently managing complex commercial transactions and legal matters.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior team members.
Ability to manage competing priorities from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
USA, NY, New York - $144,700.00 - $195,700.00 USD annually
USA, VA, Arlington - $131,500.00 - $178,000.00 USD annually
