Position Overview
As an Associate, Construction Compliance, you will be responsible for supporting construction compliance activities, including but not limited to Prevailing Wages & Apprenticeship compliance, Davis-Bacon Act compliance, document control structures on Invenergy projects, auditing processes & reports, and managing reporting within the Construction Compliance team.
General Responsibilities
- Lead all construction compliance activities in the project throughout its lifecycle, to deliver project deliverables to the required scope and schedule, working with little oversight to meet project deliverables.
- Manage workload across multiple projects, providing seamless milestone delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company in discussions with stakeholders and third party consultants, as applicable.
- Manage project deliverables across multiple contractors and scopes to ensure adherence to project schedule.
- Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, serving as a trusted project team member on each project they support.
Project Management
- Establish and lead regular project meetings and communications to ensure construction compliance deliverables are met.
- Identify and evaluate risks and work with internal and external stakeholders to escalate and mitigate project risks related to construction compliance.
- Leverage the construction project management system to provide regular project status updates.
- Support implementation of best practices and lessons learned throughout the department, with a focus on change management and training.
- Ensure record keeping for the entire project by adhering to company document management policies.
Construction Compliance
- Oversee and manage relevant regulatory requirements to support construction tax benefits, including but not limited to Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship, Davis-Bacon, Local and Domestic Content.
- Maintain a strong relationship with contractors, third party consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Document Control:
- Implement and manage document control processes to ensure the accuracy, organization, and accessibility of compliance-related documents.
- Handles routine inquiries and concerns, to include review, and follow up with parties involved for timely document submission.
Process Development
- Partner with senior associates in the department to support the development and implementation of initiatives that are complex in scope.
- Lead initiatives with medium scope complexity.
Process Auditing
- Conduct regular audits of internal processes to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and identify areas for improvement.
Department Training and Support
- Serve as a resource for new team members as they on-board to the department and for junior associates throughout the team.
- Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders regarding compliance requirements and best practices.
- Create and generate reports, analyze data, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to Project Managers.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, 3 years of document control and/or process auditing experience, Document control and/or process auditing preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Construction experience and/or construction internship preferred, Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities, Experience with Prevailing Wage, Davis-Bacon Act, and Local Content Compliance, Proficient in document control systems and auditing methodologies, Strong solution-seeking, teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills, Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions and follow tasks to completion with minimal direction, Experience with project coordination and management of projects with multiple levels of interface between vendors, internal staff, and other stakeholders preferred.
Pay
Base Pay: $93,000.00 - $108,000.00 USD
Annual Bonus: 20% - 30%
