Associate Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

The MA I works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties assisting in basic patient care, including both administrative and clinical tasks. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Coursework/Training and Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
  • Coursework/Training and Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
  • Coursework/Training and completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
  • Coursework/Training and minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant, including clinical skills such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 months of prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • 6 months of previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties assisting in patient care, including all aspects of the MA I role. The MA II is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic or location.

Requirements

  • Coursework/Training and Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
  • Coursework/Training and Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
  • Coursework/Training and completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
  • Coursework/Training and minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant, including clinical skills such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, or
  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 6 months of healthcare experience.
  • 6 months of medical assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification.

Pay

  • Associate Medical Assistant: Seattle, WA – Minimum: $22.24/hour, Maximum: $33.33/hour.
  • Medical Assistant: Seattle, WA – Minimum: $24.26/hour, Maximum: $37.11/hour.

These amounts are the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
