Associate Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant - Primary Care

About the role

The postings combine the responsibilities of an Associate Medical Assistant (AMA) and a Medical Assistant (MA). Both roles require coursework/training, work experience, and certifications as outlined.

Responsibilities

• Works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care.
• Performs administrative and clinical duties to meet basic patient care needs.
• Performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in clinical functions for assigned clinic/location.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school or registered medical assistant apprenticeship program with hands-on clinical training.
• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant, including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in a healthcare setting with an Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Qualifications

• Associate Medical Assistant: 2 years of medical training in the US Armed Forces, 1 year of work experience as a medical assistant, and completion of coursework/training.
• Medical Assistant: 2 years of medical training in the US Armed Forces, 1 year of work experience as a medical assistant, and completion of coursework/training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Medical Assistant: 6 months of healthcare experience, 6 months of medical assistant experience, and National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• Medical Assistant: 6 months of healthcare experience, 6 months of medical assistant experience, and National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

• Medical Assistant: Min: $26.47 Max: $40.49
