Associate Business Process Analyst

About The Role
Duration: 12 months
Location: Petersburg, VA
Site: Chester
Responsibilities
- Analyze and make recommendations for changes to internal processes and/or standards/specifications in order to create more efficient operations.
- Assist on multiple concurrent projects to identify and document the major business processes associated with the business unit.
- Conduct benchmarking and best practice analysis of the business unit's processes against both industry and non-industry processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes within the entire business unit without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety; develop business cases to support recommendations.
- Monitor the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes.
- Apply process modeling tools, process improvement methodology, benchmarking, project management, and change management to projects.
- Perform routine work assignments but over time will demonstrate the ability to perform more difficult work assignments.
- Work under established policies and procedures to meet set schedules and system or program requirements; continue to develop the skills to reach a higher level of proficiency and work complexity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration but willing to accept Associate's degree with experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a directly related field.
- Ability to facilitate and work on multiple project teams simultaneously.
- Proficient in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management.
- Strong customer service orientation.

Pay
The base salary range for this position, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is $30.00 - $37.00 per hour.
