Associate Brand Manager - Aquatics
Job Summary
The Associate Brand Manager supports the execution of brand and commercial initiatives across North America. This role is responsible for translating brand strategies, qualified innovation, and creative campaigns into marketplace execution that drives sales growth, distribution gains, consumer engagement, and profitable business results. The role partners closely with Sales, Comm Ops, Consumer Insights, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure flawless execution of commercialization plans.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Support execution of New Product Development (NPD) and existing initiatives.
Assist in the development of launch plans and commercialization activities.
Cross-functionally coordinate activities to ensure launch readiness.
Develop customer sell-in materials and internal launch communications.
Monitor launch performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
Brand Activation & Trade Marketing
Support development and execution of omnichannel marketing programs.
Brief and lead (with help of internal agency – Comm Ops) the creation and implementation of retail media, digital, social, and in-store activation plans.
Coordinate promotional programs and merchandising initiatives.
Work with internal & external agency partners to deliver assets on time and on budget.
Support measurement of marketing effectiveness and campaign performance.
Customer & Channel Support
Partner with Sales teams to support customer growth initiatives.
Aid in preparation of Joint Business Plans, line reviews, and customer presentations.
Support assortment reviews, promotional planning, and display opportunities.
Analyze customer performance and identify growth opportunities.
Help develop channel-specific activation plans.
Business Analytics & Performance Tracking
Monitor sales, market share, distribution, pricing, and promotional performance.
Develop recurring business reports and scorecards.
Analyze category, customer, and competitive trends.
Identify risks and opportunities and recommend action plans.
Support monthly and quarterly business reviews.
Portfolio Management
Support management of assigned brand portfolios.
Assist in SKU rationalization and assortment optimization initiatives.
Partner with Finance and Sales on promotional and pricing analysis.
Maintain product information, launch trackers, and commercialization tools.
Help ensure portfolio initiatives support business objectives.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
3+ years of experience in Brand Management, Trade/Customer Marketing, or related commercial functions.
Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods, Pet Care, Food, Household Products, or related industries preferred.
Experience working with syndicated data sources (Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, etc.) preferred.
Required Skills
Digital savvy with experience across Paid, Owned, and Earned media, including social media brand growth.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable challenging and guiding internal and external agency partners.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
