Job Summary
Provide direct, 1:1, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention supports (e.g., behavioral therapy services) to children and adolescents diagnosed with severe behavioral disorders. This position will also assist with cleaning, organizing, and preparing case and department materials and systems.Responsibilities
- Provide direct, 1:1, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention supports (e.g., behavioral therapy services) to children and adolescents diagnosed with severe behavioral disorders.
- Aid in cleaning, organizing, and preparing case and department materials and systems.
- Implement a treatment plan prepared and directed by a BCBA or BCBA-D/Licensed Psychologist.
- Regularly encounter potentially moderate- to high-risk care situations that could result in bodily harm to the employee, including situations where patients display property destruction, emotional outbursts, verbal insults, and physical aggression.
- Receive specialized behavior management training.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy strategies and intervention components.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with children and adolescents diagnosed with severe behavioral disorders.
- Specialized behavior management training.
