Key Responsibilities
- Advise on municipal bond financings and public sector debt transactions
- Assist governmental entities including cities, counties, housing authorities, and special-purpose districts with financing initiatives
- Structure and support tax-exempt and taxable bond issuances
- Draft and review transaction documentation including bond documents, financing agreements, and disclosure materials
- Provide guidance on municipal law, regulatory considerations, and tax-related aspects of public finance transactions
- Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, underwriters, and other transaction participants throughout the financing process
- Support complex public finance projects tied to infrastructure, development, and community initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of transactional experience, preferably in public finance or municipal finance
- JD required and prior experience working in a law firm
- Experience advising governmental entities or public authorities on financing transactions is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with municipal finance regulations, tax considerations, and bond structures
- Strong drafting and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in collaborative deal teams
- Active Texas Bar membership or eligibility to become licensed in Texas
