Associate Application Analyst - Agronomy Portfolio - GROWMARK, Inc. - Bloomington, IL

About the role

GROWMARK is an agricultural cooperative serving almost 400,000 customers across North America. The position is part of a career ladder with multiple levels, ranging from Associate Application Analyst to Sr Application Analyst. The selected candidate will be placed into the appropriate level based on their qualifications and experience, and compensation will be commensurate with that level.

Responsibilities

• Provides training and assistance to other IT Portfolio Staff, the IMS Support group, end users, and select GROWMARK employees to ensure users receive support that exceeds their expectations.
• Aid in the development, testing, implementation, training, and ongoing support of IMS supported point of sale applications and hardware, ensuring their accurate interface with Agvance and other support software applications.
• Assist through research with point of sale systems to ensure they are enhanced to provide industry best practices and are user friendly.
• Coordinate with others in IT Portfolio to ensure alignment and coordination of all technology and software systems both within GROWMARK and at the retail level.
• Create, maintain, and distribute documentation and manuals to users on assigned software application and hardware.
• Aid in the distribution and installation of the current version of all assigned applications and ensure that users are provided with the current version of applications.
• Aid in the installation and support of Agronomy hardware and software systems at member cooperatives with users and GROWMARK product and support divisions.
• Assist in the evaluation of new software, associated hardware and services to be offered to end users.

Requirements

• Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in information systems, accounting, or business, or the equivalent thereof, and 4 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate applications working knowledge to provide computer software recommendations and leadership to agri-businesses.
• Understanding and experience with computer services-related areas including computer system trends and direction, general accounting, and agri-business.
• Understanding of GROWMARK customized Agvance application and its interfaces with assigned applications and understanding of software and hardware design and integration.
• Ability to provide technical support, resource management, and training to new and existing users.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.
• Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, and project management skills and the ability to read and interpret technical material.
• Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Proven computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.
• Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.
• Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Pay

SALARY RANGE: $69,100.00 - $95,050.00
