Core Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert in more complex Accounting Advisory topics and their impact on financial statements.
- Execute a comprehensive self-review and articulate key concepts to staff.
- Accurately reflect more complex journal entries within the financial statements.
- Perform basic level research for financial statements disclosures, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Effectively leverage firm templates and technology to oversee staff in the preparation of financial statements and consolidation of trial balances.
- Delegate and review staff and Intern work, identifying areas needing improvement.
- Build in-person connections with peers and managers, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Support Firm initiatives and development opportunities, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Able to thrive in an environment of changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact in a team environment and foster client relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledgeable about the services offered by the Firm and proactive in representing it, growing the client base, and increasing brand recognition.
- Willingness to pursue certifications and further education.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel skills.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
- Begin pursuing certifications.
- At least 3+ years of relative accounting experience; at least 1 year in public accounting or professional services highly preferred.
This position is an exempt position as it relates to the fair labor standards Act.
