Associate Account Manager

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an Associate Account Manager to join their client's team in North County-San Diego. This role is designed for individuals with some employee benefits experience or a background in HR, looking to transition into an Account Manager position. The selected candidate will initially support current account managers with various tasks, including quoting, presentations, and compliance, with the goal of moving into an Account Manager role within 6-12 months. This is anticipated to be a direct hire position.

Responsibilities

• Assist Account Managers with day-to-day client service needs.
• Help prepare renewal spreadsheets, presentations, and client communications.
• Support the coordination of carrier quotes and proposals.
• Communicate with carriers, TPAs, and vendors to gather information and resolve issues.
• Aid in processing enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Help ensure compliance documentation and reporting is accurate and timely.
• Support preparation for open enrollment meetings.
• Aid in employee communications and materials.
• Attend client meetings to observe and gradually take on presentation responsibilities as you grow in the role.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, HR, or a related field (brokerage experience a plus).
• Strong interest in building a long-term career in employee benefits consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• California Life & Health license (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).
• Experience with Ease and Employee Navigator (not required but highly encouraged).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Benefits

The role offers a competitive pay range with a maximum of $40.00 per hour and a minimum of $30.00 per hour.
