Assoc Head Coach Cross Country/Asst Coach Track and field

About the role

This position assists the head coach in all phases of a Division I Track & Field/Cross Country program, specializing in coaching the cross country and distance student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and administers intercollegiate sports.
• Serves as a supervisor and may have budgetary responsibility.
• Conducts practices, identifies and recruits qualified student-athletes.
• Develops competitive schedules.
• Coordinates team travel.
• Ensures compliance with governing rules and regulations.
• Teaches the technical aspects of the sport.
• Develops student-athletes athletically.
• Aids in recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
• Monitors student-athletes' academic progress.
• Supports the head coach with administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years collegiate coaching experience in cross country/distance
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules

Preferred Qualifications

• USATF Level 1, 2, or 3 certification
• USTFCCCA Academy Coursework
• Demonstrated success with collegiate cross country/distance program
