Assisted Living (AL) Corporate Nurse Leader

Position Summary

The purpose of the AL Corporate Nurse Leader is to improve and lead the delivery of supporting clinical services for the Assisted Living facilities. This position is responsible for assisting with unifying, further developing, and expanding the facility’s clinical team to deliver a streamlined, effective, and client-centered approach to service. This position serves as a resource, positive role model, and mentor for the AL Clinical Manager or LPN Care Coordinator, and all Assisted Living facility staff.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensures Clinical Teams are Operating within Regulatory Requirements and Industry Best Practices Through Quality Assurance, Clinical Regulatory Oversight and Training
  • Provides clinical and system training to new employees as well as refresher training to current employees
  • Fills in for vacant AL Clinical Manager and LPN Care Coordinator Positions, as necessary
  • Assists with strategy and process development and implementation, including measurement of outcomes
  • Fills in for AL Clinical Manager and LPN Care Coordinator Positions, as necessary
  • Acts as super-user and trainer for clinical software system, and other systems
  • Makes sure quality measures are being monitored and worked on
  • Assists in training new AL Clinical Managers and LPN Care Coordinators
  • Collaborates regularly with leadership to share findings and coordinate and drive improvement efforts
  • Identifies, tracks, resolves, responds to and reports any quality-of-care issues
  • Consistently Identifies Opportunities to Streamline Work, Improve Processes, and Improve Consistency Within Assisted Living Facilities
  • Ensures clinical processes and teams operate seamlessly with other departments
  • Attends and actively participates in facility meetings, clinical operations, and other operational meetings as required
  • Works with facility staff to ensure feasibility and compliance with policy and initiatives

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a clinical nursing leadership role in an Assisted Living setting in Minnesota
  • Active RN License in Minnesota
  • Knowledge of Department of Health regulations, legislating and laws
  • Progressive leadership experience in a health care environment preferred; managing and developing a team, overseeing multiple functions, and providing strategic and tactical direction and operational oversight
