Lead Care Associate - Assisted Living (AL)

About the Role

This position is responsible for providing assistance to residents in Assisted Living with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. The Manager On Duty supports the department manager with training of new staff and care management planning. Weekend schedule: 32 hours (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, flexible).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and leadership with medication (per state regulations), bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Coordinate and conduct training of new staff members and assist all team members, upon direction of the Health and Wellness Director.
• Meet on a regular basis with the Health and Wellness Director to review resident care issues.
• Serve as the staff and family resource when the director is unavailable or away from the building.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform the Directors of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Respect residents’ confidentiality.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of experience preferred in senior care or a related field.
• Lead Caregiver / MedTech experience.
• May require a CNA or CHHA licensure or other state-required training.
• Acceptable fluency in English to perform job duties and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and third parties.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely.
