Assistant Wrestling Coach, Heath Middle School

Salary placement on our Co-Curricular Salary schedule depends on the sport and the employee’s in-district experience as outlined in Article XXIII of the Master Contract.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the head coach to support their plan
• Run specific aspects of practice as assigned
• Supervise students until they are picked up from practice and/or meets
• Organize and supervise game help
• Assist with supervision at activities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR certification
• Completion of CHSAA test and concussion education training
• Prior coaching experience in wrestling (preferred)
• Bilingual skills (preferred)

• Knowledge of Colorado and district content standards
• Ability to perform all duties of the position
• Leadership in meeting students’ social, emotional, psychological, and academic needs
• Flexibility, conflict resolution, stress tolerance, and quick decision-making

Work Environment

• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity important
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
