Assistant Women's Soccer Coach
About the role
This position will assist the Head Coach in the leadership and supervision of the student-athletes in the assigned athletic program. The individual may also have teaching assignments or other duties assigned and will be responsible for assisting in the supervision and/or controlling of his/her players' behavior in the residence halls.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the supervision of all activities of the assigned athletic program;
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the high school coaches of the district;
- Maintain a cooperative and supportive relationship with the administration, faculty, and support staff;
- Aid in the supervision of the student athletes participating in his/her athletic program in the areas of conduct and academic performance;
- Assist in maintaining and reporting accurate scholarship information to the Director of Athletics, Director of Financial Aid, Registrar, and others as needed and as assigned by the head coach;
- Aid in maintaining an accurate inventory of athletic supplies and equipment assigned to his/her program;
- Coordinate, through the head coach, requests for repairs and/or improvements of assigned facilities;
- Participate in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program;
- Must be knowledgeable of NJCAA and MACC rules and regulations. Adherence to these rules and regulations is mandatory.
Qualifications
- Soccer execution knowledge;
- Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office applications;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledgeable of basic first-aid techniques;
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience;
- Athletic Culture, MACC and NJCAA Regulations;
- Support the College Vision and Mission in the daily execution of all duties and responsibilities;
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or President.
