Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach, train, condition, and coach all team members in game strategies and techniques.
• Assist in teaching theoretical skills such as sport psychology and preparation.
• Demonstrate and teach advanced skills for a particular sport.
• Mentor and advise students on personal health and academic matters.
• Organize and coach the junior varsity program with the assistance of the head coach.
• Aid in the identification and recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
• Evaluate prospect pool through attendance at high school or sport organization contests.
• Scout opponents and organize scouting reports.
• Maintain accurate and complete recruiting records and ensure student-athletes are in compliance with the by-laws of Trine University, the conference, and the NCAA.
• Promote the sport program on campus and in the community.
• Aid in fundraising activities, camps, and clinics for the sport and for the entire athletic department.
• Manage and facilitate the recording of sport games/matches.
• Assist in the transportation of student-athletes to and from contests.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor degree from a four-year college or university is desired; Master’s degree is preferred.
• A proven record of success in intercollegiate athletics including recruiting and Division III experience is desired.
