Assistant Wellness Director

Responsibilities

• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care and practices while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff.
• Makes sure policies and procedures are being done correctly and helps make sure goals are met.
• Does resident assessments, suggests what kind of help a resident might need, and tells families about it.
• Ensures that the place is clean and safe, and that people are happy and healthy.
• Knows important rules about how to take care of people and uses them.
• Checks every unit every day to see if anything is wrong or if anyone is unhappy.
• Listens to people who have problems and writes down what they say.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in a senior living care setting.
• Two years of supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
