Assistant Track and Field Coach

About the Role

Assistant Track and Field Coach – Sprints and Hurdles within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This is a full-time, term position.

Responsibilities

• Coaches, recruits, and provides academic oversight for student-athletes.
• Performs administrative duties related to the track & field/cross country programs.
• Promotes Southeast Missouri State University and the athletics program through community involvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated successful experience coaching or competitive experience with sprints and/or hurdles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, faculty, community, and media.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate student-athletes academically and athletically.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service.
