Assistant Track and Field Coach

About the role

Utah State University is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Track & Field Coach with experience in multis, throws, and jumps.

Responsibilities

• Aid the head coach in identifying and recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes.
• Aid the head coach in preparing student-athletes for competition.
• Support the academic mission of the university and NCAA by coordinating with academic services to monitor the academic progress of student-athletes.
• Act as a liaison to assigned athletic department and university entities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required plus experience demonstrating an excellent knowledge of the techniques and strategies of the sport of track & field.
• Successful recruiting experience and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Must pass the NCAA recruiting test upon hiring or have already passed it for the upcoming year.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an assistant collegiate coach.
