Duties And Responsibilities

  • Organize, develop, and deliver person training, coaching, and technical assistance services for staff in the HS/PRS program, including case managers, case aides, supervisors, and support staff;
  • Cook with RCHP-AHC HR staff and AN program staff on hiring for HS/PRS positions, including posting current job openings, conducting phone screening, scheduling interviews, and communicating with HR staff on new hires;
  • Develop and update Accompany Now new staff onboarding curriculum for required pre-service trainings;
  • Facilitate program specific onboarding trainings with new staff in a live online format and in person;
  • Track completion of onboarding and annual training requirements for staff;
  • Train staff on new program policies and procedures;
  • Conduct training needs assessments and analyze various data to identify training needs;
  • Maintain working knowledge of best practices and trends in the field and share relevant, ongoing professional development opportunities with RCHP-AHC;
  • Research relevant subject matter/topics to create accurate and relevant training and support materials;
  • Shadow and coach in person visits across NJ to all new hires;
  • Cook with RCHP-AHC HR staff to recruit new hires from various hiring sites;
  • Review mileage reimbursement reports for each case manager for various hiring sites;
  • Aid with completing internal quality assurance reports to ensure PRS/HS teams meet compliance;
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor;

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science, education, or social services field with two to five years' experience in staff training, case management, and/or child welfare;
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Experience working with immigrant children, supervision of staff or programs, and training of staff is highly preferred;
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design preferred;
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required;
  • Strict adherence to timeframes, policy and procedures;
  • Ability to prioritize duties and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team;
  • Ability to track and analyze data;
  • Position is hybrid and the candidate must have an appropriate workspace to complete documentation, phone calls, and video conferencing;
  • Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in additional languages a plus;
  • Willing to travel as often as necessary for training our purposes;
  • Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to comply with mandatory state reporting requirement for child abuse and neglect;
  • Candidate must have dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and displaced people;
  • Candidate must pass a criminal background check that includes history of conviction of child and sexual abuse;
  • Demonstrated support of RCHP's values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace.

Training Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training;
  • Satisfactory completion of funder required trainings upon hire and on an annual basis;
  • Complete additional training as identified by the program manager.

Compensation

This position is for 40 hours/week at $55,008/year plus benefits.

About the Role

The Assistant to the Program Director is responsible for conducting program specific onboarding for new staff, providing training as required by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and coordinating professional development opportunities for all staff in the Home Study & Post Release Services (HS/PRS) program.
