About the role

The Assistant to the Dean and Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Dean and managing day-to-day operations within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Dean in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Maintains office systems and ensures efficient workflow management.
  • Coordinates events and meetings, ensuring all logistical needs are met.
  • Oversees departmental budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Manages administrative tasks including scheduling, correspondence, and document management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The ideal candidate will be available Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work required.
