Assistant, Teacher K-3 (26-27 SY)

About the role

The Teacher K-3 position at Reedy Creek Elementary is part of the Non Instructional/Support Services team. This role supports the educational mission of the school by providing academic and developmental support to students in kindergarten through third grade.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students in reading, writing, mathematics, and other core subjects.
• Implement classroom management strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by administration.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Education or related field.
• Valid North Carolina teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
• Experience working with children in a K-3 setting preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a background check and health screening.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This is a 9-month term position, with a typical school year schedule including summer breaks.
