Assistant, Teacher K-3 (26--27 SY)

About the role

The Teacher K-3 position at Long Creek Elementary is part of the Non Instructional/Support Services team. This role supports the educational mission of the school by providing academic instruction to students in kindergarten through third grade.

Responsibilities

• Teach reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies to students in kindergarten through third grade.
• Implement curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance instructional practices.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of an Associate Degree.
• Valid North Carolina Teaching License or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a background check.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is 9-months per year, with summers off.
