Essential Duties
- Affords individual or group assistance to students to help them complete assignments and reinforce learning concepts.
- Serves as a supervisor in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, school yards, and during field trips.
- Fulfills administrative policies and rules governing students.
- Instructs and monitors students in the safe use and maintenance of equipment and materials.
- Monitors student performance and documents relevant data to evaluate progress.
Education And Experience
- Minimum Associate's Degree OR 48 credit hours of higher education OR successful completion of a formal assessment (Workkey and 96 hours of in-service training).
- Completion of the NC DOL Apprenticeship Program OR the NC ATA Professional Development Plan desirable.
- Desirable: Associate's Degree with a focus on Education AND 2+ years of experience working with elementary-age children.
