Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Projects

About the role

The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for assisting the site team from construction start through project closing, ensuring the contract scope is understood by the site management team, attending preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors, assisting with and maintaining a baseline production schedule, reviewing and assisting in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor, implementing a quality control plan, reviewing and approving all invoices and requisitions to ensure correct payment to vendors, ensuring the work environment is safe, supervising and evaluating assigned personnel, and maintaining a positive working environment for the entire site team.

Responsibilities

• Assist site team from construction start through project closing
• Ensure contract scope is understood by the site management team
• Attend preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work
• Aid in and maintain a baseline production schedule for the project
• Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor
• Implement a quality control plan
• Review and approve all invoices and requisitions to ensure correct payment to vendors
• Ensure the work environment is safe
• Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel
• Maintain a positive working environment for the entire site team

Requirements

• Commercial experience, ground up $10M
• Procore an advantage
• CM degree great but not ideal
• 2+ years' experience
• Ability to take direction and implement

Qualifications
