About the role
The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and coordinating with subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee construction projects from start to finish
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of work
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant construction management experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Construction management software proficiency
- Project management tools such as Gantt charts
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
