About the Role
D1 Assistant Coaches must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1’s members (scholastic ages 7-18, adults, and teams) by fostering a positive, motivating environment. Coaches assist head strength coaches during classes, modify and adapt movements to suit individual athletes, and ensure workouts start and finish on time. They build relationships with members, deliver industry-leading advice on strength, speed, and nutrition, and prioritize safety through proper form and technique.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes.
- Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
- Assist head strength coaches during group workouts, personal training, and team sessions.
- Modify and adapt movements to best suit individual athletes.
- Reduce athletes' risk of injury by focusing on proper technique and movement patterns.
- Teach proper form and technique while maintaining a safe training environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with each D1 member.
- Deliver accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition.
- Start and finish workouts on time.
Qualifications
- Valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or planning to attend a fitness-based curriculum.
- Currently pursuing or planning to attain a certification in the fitness industry.
