About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in all areas, ensuring optimal customer experiences, effective store operations, and maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • 30% Brand: Supervise and support associates in achieving exceptional client experiences, maximizing sales/KPIs, and driving customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.

  • 30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and manage a strong network of external candidates. Identify strengths and opportunities for associates and address them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations with associates and keep them informed of relevant company information.

  • 30% Operations: Ensure the execution of all company processes, including training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Manage digital strategies through Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manage inventory and payroll hours, and ensure correct store opening and closing procedures. Follow company directives, assignments, and projects.

  • 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure the store environment is safe for associates and customers. Protect company assets by following inventory and cash control procedures related to shrink, damages, banking, etc. Analyze and utilize available reporting, tools, and technology. Ensure compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred

  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred

  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives

  • Effective communication skills

  • Scheduling availability to meet business needs

  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
