About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing and developing a team of associates to ensure optimal customer experiences, effective operations, and brand compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Brings supervision and support to the direction planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional client experiences, maximizing sales and customer loyalty in assigned stores.

  • Maintains all brand standards including merchandising, POS guidelines, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc., and resolves customer issues and anticipates customer demands.

  • Engages, trains, and develops the team to achieve positive results, identifies strengths and opportunities for associates, and addresses them through coaching or counseling.

  • Holds the team accountable to Company policies and expectations, maintains positive associate relations, and builds strong working relationships with Store Manager peers.

  • Manages payroll hours, ensures correct store opening and closing procedures, and timely and accurate follow-through with Company directives and assignments/projects.

  • Ensures the store environment is safe at all times for associates and customers, adheres to policies and procedures, analyzes and utilizes available reporting and tools, and ensures compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred

  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred

  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives

  • Effectively communicates with team and management

  • Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business

  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
